So my grandpa Woodward passed away today. Yeah. It's been a really rough year for my dad.

Also, it turns out that I am still working at Red Lobster. I'm going to finally quit today, though.

Man, what a week.

I think it started last Saturday when at work the general manager took everyone in the kitchen aside and told us "well, we don't want to let anyone go, but..." then proceeded to tell us that there was a company-wide policy to reduce hours so that the already bad 20-25 hours/week people were getting was turning into something more ( Read more... )

So I talked to my dad yesterday. I'm going to move in with him by the end of the month. Kind of glad to be moving out of here, though it sucks that I have to live off my dad now. It will be good to be finally saving money instead of losing it. Speaking of which, I may have a job lined up at a local farm. My mom's friend's daughter works there ( Read more... )

I just realised how horrible last year was. It really was a pretty bad year for me, especially considering how good 2006 was (well the last half of it at least. Let's take a look here:

2006

• Got a job
• Moved out and got my own place
• Got fit
• Various other things

2007

• Lost car and was without one for a few months

So last night I had what will be my last meal ever at the house I grew up in. I got everything out of it that I still wanted. I just can't believe that the place is no longer ours. There's I tree I planted when I was 5 in the front yard, which is now 30 feet tall. I'm thankful that the people who bought the house already trimmed the lower ( Read more... )

So I've been doing all kinds of stuff recently. Been working near-40 hour weeks for the last month or so, but now I've got a 4-day weekend. I've been buying a ton of things recently too.
